FAQ: How to fix the Error 1001 while uninstalling/reinstalling ?

If you try to uninstall PREDATOR and get a message box with "Error 1001: An exception occurred while uninstalling":
Error 1001: An exception occurred while uninstalling

or if you try to install a new version of PREDATOR and get a message box with "Error 1001: Could not find file C:\Program Files\Predator2\Predator CA.InstallState",

then your computer is in a deadlock situation: PREDATOR is partially uninstalled and it is impossible to uninstall it completely nor to reinstall it.
